Ms. Davis is an Idaho native, graduating with an undergraduate degree from the College of Idaho in 1996, and from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2003. She joined Barker Rosholt & Simpson, LLP, in 2004 after a legal internship with Hon. Mikel Williams, of the United States District Court for the District of Idaho, and a clerkship for Judge Juneal Kerrick of the Third Judicial District Court for the State of Idaho. Shelley was named a partner in the firm in 2010.

Ms. Davis has substantial complex litigation experience representing clients in matters ranging from state water rights licensing matters to anti-trust Robinson-Patman litigation. She has extensive experience in organizing and conducting large scale discovery practice involving many hundreds of thousands of pages of documents and electronic files, and she has overseen the process from drafting discovery requests, through review, database coding, and privilege reporting. Ms. Davis has also practiced before the Snake River Basin Adjudication court involving water rights claims and challenges, and has trial experience before many other state courts in the State of Idaho in matters ranging from tort defense for canal companies and irrigation districts, to contract actions involving anti-competition clauses in employment contracts. She has also done substantial work with irrigation district and canal company clients to develop and construct small scale in-conduit hydropower projects.
