Mr. Rosholt was awarded the Idaho State Bar Association's 2004 Distinguished Lawyer Award, and in 2008 Mr. Rosholt was awarded the University of Idaho's Faculty Award of Legal Merit. In 2012 Mr. Rosholt received the “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the Twin Falls Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Rosholt, a Lewiston, Idaho, native, is one of the three founding partners in Barker Rosholt & Simpson, LLP. He graduated from the University of Idaho School of Law in 1964. He joined the practice of Parry, Robertson and Daly in Twin Falls and began a practice representing entities that provide irrigation water to over 450,000 acres of Idaho. For more than eighteen years Mr. Rosholt was the Idaho Director of the National Water Resources Association which represents irrigators in the seventeen western states. In 1976 Mr. Rosholt was elected president of the National Water Resource Association.

Now in his forty-ninth year of practice, Mr. Rosholt has been rated "AV" by Martindale- Hubbell since 1970, and has been selected one of the "Best Lawyers in America" for over twenty years. He received the Idaho State Bar's Distinguished Lawyer Award in 2004, and the University of Idaho College of Law's Award of Legal Merit in 2008. Mr. Rosholt was inducted into the University of Idaho's Alumni Hall of Fame in 2013.

His most notable achievements are working with the Twin Falls Canal Company and North Side Canal Company to pioneer development of some of Idaho's first small hydropower production facilities in irrigation conduits beginning in the 1970's, and in representing his clients in regard to proposed federal legislation in the reconstruction of three major dams on the Snake River.
